Hygrocybe intermedia (Pass.) Fayod syn. Hygrophorus intermedius Pass.Trockener Saftling Fibrous Waxcap. Cap 2–7cm across, conical, golden yellow or deep ochraceous, covered in fine fibrils especially at the umbo. Stem 60–90 x 9–18mm, robust, concolorous with cap with yellowish-white base, dry and fibrillose. Flesh yellowish. Smell mushroomy. Gills whitish to pale yellow. Spore print white. Spores ellipsoid, 8–11 x 5–6um. Habitat in grasslands. Season autumn. Rare. Edible. (Never eat any mushroom until you are certain it is edible as many are poisonous and some are deadly poisonous.) Found In Europe.
